A note from the photographer:

I love to photograph water. There is always something I find intriguing about water when it and light come together. This particular day my husband and I were driving along I-70, just after passing George Town, when I spotted this waterfall from the highway. I made my husband pull over and spent several hours photographing it from various angles.
While I was doing that, I noticed the afternoon light was creating sun rays as the wind blew sprays of water from the top. It was one of those "rare" moments in nature that John Fielder speaks of that probably won't happen again. I have gone back several times over the past couple of years hoping to recapture that event with my 4x5 camera but with no luck.
This picture was entered in the Greenwood Village and Beyond
competition and was selected by John Fielder to be hung in the gallery
.
